We are in Colorado for the third time since September last year. After a forty-five year absence, I am becoming somewhat of a regular in this Denver suburb. We are here doing our favorite thing, being Grandparents. While here we took in two soccer games, a dance recital, and will attend a school performance this morning before boarding a plane and flying to Arizona. I did get in a round of golf, which is what I will be doing in Arizona… along with doing my best to fend off alcohol poisoning.
While I enjoy travel, visiting family and friends and especially being Grandparents, I am getting to the point where being home with my dog is where I am most content. The daily routine, now that I am retired, has become my comfort zone where I am truly at my best. I have been trying to write but find being a visitor, distractions interfere with my process. Words come to me, but strain to have any meaningful impact.
The one thing I am able to report is that each of my Grandchildren thing I am a much better person than I really am.
Off to Arizona.
